Torres: A “Monster” in Football
December 14, 2007
Liverpool’s Fernando Torres was commended by Manchester United assistant boss Carlos Queiroz hailing the midfielder to be a “monster” in football and that the Red Devils have to be defended against the menace of the Spain Striker when the two Premiership houses challenge on Sunday.
According to Queiroz, 23-year old Torres for him is one of the best forwards in the world at present because he is capable of making almost anything happen. His ability to change a game has made him world-class.
During an interview, Quieroz admittedly said that he has never seen a Liverpool side looking so strong in the league. He is seriously looking at Torres as a threat because of the very good performance that he has been showing in his past games.
Indeed, Torres has been in stunning form ever since his £26.5million worth summer from Atletico Madrid, gaining a remarkable 12 goals during this season alone. The Spain international continuously exhibited this quality on Tuesday evening, with an exceptional flaunt alongside Marseille which aided his club to assure progress to the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League.
Manchester will soon be up with either Spanish or an Italian side. They know how hard it is going to be but after finishing two finals in the last three seasons, one goal they have is to be one of the favorites.
Manchester has defeated Milan, Barcelona, Juventus, Chelsea in the competition. Quieroz admits that it will be tough for them, but they have to be optimistic.

I was really impressed by the fact Torrres was made captain of his former club at such an early age. That shows an incredible amount of maturity and I believe he can only get better.
